The Apple store on Orchard Road opened at 8 a.m. to a short line of enthusiastic fans eager for demos and customers eager to get their pre-ordered devices — some of whom had been waiting since 6:30 a.m. — but the queues were far shorter than those typically seen at iPhone launches.

First in line was a 23-year-old photographer who gave his name only as Ervin L. He told The Straits Times that he had pre-ordered the headset after trying out a friend's Vision Pro and finding it caused fewer headaches than competing products.

He said, “I expect this to be my main device for work, and I'll be mirroring my MacBook so I can have all the screens side-by-side for an ultra-wide view when editing photos.”
