DMC Production used Grass Valleys AMPP to live stream the 2024 RallyX Championship via YouTube.

DMC has adapted its live remote broadcast workflow to use AMPP's live video production and processing services and, given its success, plans to continue doing so for other high-profile remote sports and entertainment productions.

Previously, DMC deployed two large OB trucks at each site, equipped with utilities, a mobile control room and operators. In contrast, the compact AMPP live production server setup required only two small vans per site. This significantly reduced the need for large OB vans, lowering operational costs such as fuel and travel, reducing staff size and lowering the carbon footprint.

Connectivity was also improved with a 100 Mb/s public Internet connection from the racetrack to DMC’s remote production center.

DMC MD Johan Hedblom used AMPP to decentralise the company’s production infrastructure, while Head of Networks Adrian Falck helped configure and plan the technical set-up.
