Debuting in February 2023, the immersive world has been merrily celebrating its first anniversary in several celebratory ways over the past few months, with the big event in early 2024 being the opening of the Toadstool Cafe along with the 1-UP Factory retail store.

Now, as summer begins to peak, Super Nintendo World has a new and fascinating feature: a brightly-lit interactive wall in the Frosted Glacier area that summons Power-Up Band wearers to collect coins and enjoy plenty of moment-to-moment engagement.

Good to know: Anyone can try out the Fast Play activities, whether they're wearing a Power Up Band or not.

“Guests will first punch the ? block, and one of four power-ups will appear on the screen: Fire Flower, Ice Flower, Super Mushroom or Super Star,” the theme park team says.

“You can then tap on power-ups, swipe or tap to defeat Goombas, Red Bowser and Green Bowser, or tap on glowing brick blocks to earn coins.”

“The goal is to collect as many points as possible within the time limit.”
