However, this time it was announced earlier than scheduled. According to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, there could be two reasons for this.

Reports suggest that Google may be trying to avoid overlapping with Apple's iPhone 16 launch scheduled for September. However, it is not clear why. The second reason may be that Google wants to avoid Pixel 9 details being leaked. There are already many leaks online about the phone, but the company seems to be trying its best to prevent them. Meanwhile, Google also launched the Pixel 8a earlier than expected. The phone was expected to be launched during the Google I/O event on May 14 this year. However, the launch was pushed back by a week to May 7.
