Google Wifi is blocking Layer 2 traffic between LAN ports…

Hello! I have an unusual problem that I haven't been able to find a solution to online and I hope this community can help.

In my home office network, I use Google WiFi as my main router and WAP. I have several devices on the network that need to communicate with each other via a layer 2 protocol specific to the operating system (QNX). It appears that Google WiFi is blocking traffic between devices connected wirelessly and devices wired to a LAN port.

My network setup is as follows:Fiber ONT (ISP) >> Unmanaged Switch >> Google WiFi WAN PortGoogle WiFi Wireless Network >> Windows Laptop running QNX Virtual MachineGoogle WiFi LAN Port >> Managed Switch >> Multiple Devices running QNX

My Windows laptop can talk to all devices over TCP, so I know all devices are normally powered, working, on the network, etc. It's only the layer 2 network protocol between the VM and the other QNX device that isn't working.

When I connect my Windows laptop to my network via wireless (as above), the VMs on the Windows laptop are unable to connect to my wired QNX device via this layer 2 protocol.

However, if you disable the WiFi on your laptop and connect your Windows laptop directly to the managed switch via an Ethernet cable, the VM and the wired QNX device will be able to communicate via the QNX Layer 2 protocol.

So this works: Windows laptop / QNX VM >> Managed Switch >> Other QNX DeviceThis doesn't work: Windows laptop / QNX VM >> Google WiFi Wireless >> Google WiFi LAN >> Managed Switch >> Other QNX Device

This tells us that the VM configuration is not the issue, and also that the managed switch is not the issue.

I've checked all the Google WiFi settings and can't find anything that seems to be causing the problem.

All this begs the question: Does anyone know for sure that Google WiFi blocks layer 2 protocols between the wireless network and the LAN port, and if so, is there a way to disable or bypass it?
