McHenry County College will host an open house showcasing the skilled trades programs that will be offered at the Crystal Lake campus' new Foria Advanced Technology Innovation Center, scheduled to open in the fall.

The event will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 5pm to 7pm in the Black Box Theatre and lobby area of ​​the E Building, 8900 Route 14.

Participants will have the opportunity to view program demonstrations, meet faculty, other employers and students, receive materials and resources to answer program and career-related questions, and apply for classes for the fall semester.

The event will also feature special giveaways and refreshments. The event is open to everyone, whether you are a prospective student, local employer, or current worker interested in continuing your education. No registration is required.

“We are excited to introduce the community to all that Foria CATI has to offer,” Amy Carzoli, assistant vice president for Enrollment Services, said in a news release. The building itself is equipped with the latest technology and equipment, and the courses are taught by experienced industry professionals. The curriculum was also developed with input from local employers, meaning our students will graduate with skills the community needs.

Programs available at Foglia CATI include architecture and engineering design technology, automation, robotics, mechatronics, construction management, engineering technology, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), industrial maintenance, industrial management and technology, precision machining, welding and manufacturing, and more.
