The workshop series, part of ESCAP’s Thailand Sector Climate Investment Project, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the National Innovation Agency (NIA), aims to address critical gaps in access to climate finance, particularly for non-infrastructure projects in developing countries.

With global climate finance inflows reaching US$1.27 trillion annually, only a fraction of it meets investment needs, posing a major challenge for Asia-Pacific, including Thailand. Governments and stakeholders face capacity constraints in developing investable climate finance opportunities outside the traditional infrastructure sector.

With a focus on promoting a strong climate tech startup ecosystem, this workshop series will bring together government agencies, climate tech startups, project owners, funders and key stakeholders. Discussions will explore ESCAP's latest research findings, identify barriers to green project financing in Thailand and present success stories of funded projects. Sustainable finance leaders will share best practices, paving the way for innovative solutions to strengthen the financing pipeline for green projects.
