American Pavilion Student Program Expands to SXSW in Sydney, Australia

The American Pavilion will expand its AmPav Student Immersion program to the South by Southwest Festival in Sydney, Australia.

Michael Bremmer, senior director of student programs at the American Pavilion, said the AmPav SXSW-Sydney student program, which runs from Oct. 13-21, will look at the future of technology, innovation, gaming, screens and music.

“The American Pavilion Worldwide Student Program is designed to provide the next generation of entertainment industry professionals with a real-world educational and career-enhancing experience,” Bremmer said in Monday's announcement. “Our extension to SXSW in Sydney is a great endorsement of today's students being prepared to become tomorrow's leaders across multiple global entertainment platforms and countries. It is a testament to the program that so many of our esteemed graduates are now respected directors, producers, writers, agents, managers, lawyers, marketing, creative, production and business executives.”

The SXSW-Sydney Intensive Program is specially tailored for university students from around the world, and according to the organizers, the program offers the following (in the organizers' words):

Exclusive Access: Attendees will receive a SXSW Sydney Premium Badge that grants access to all festival activities, including keynotes, workshops, film screenings, music showcases and networking events. Industry Insights: Attendees will engage with thought leaders and innovators across industries such as film, music, technology and interactive media.
