Vivo Nex 3S 5G launch on March 10, should be an upgrade to Nex 3 5G
The Vivo Nex 3S is expected to launch in China on March 10, the company said. A teaser poster shared online shows that the phone has negligible edges on all sides, and there is also no notch cutout or perforation. The Vivo Nex 3S 5G is also seen sporting curved edges on the sides of the screen, just like the vanilla model Vivo Nex 3 5G. The phone would be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 SoC.
The company took its official account on Weibo for reveal that the Vivo Nex 3S 5G phone will be launched on March 10 in China. The launch event will start at 2.30 p.m. local time (12 p.m. IST). The phone is probably a slightly modified variant of the Vivo Nex 3 5G phone launched last September. As a reminder, the Vivo Nex 3 5G had a cascade screen without notches, and the selfie camera was revealed through a contextual module located on the top edge of the phone.
Aside from the launch date, Vivo has shared little about the Vivo Nex 3S 5G phone.
Meanwhile, a Vivo phone with model number V1950A would be the Nex 3S 5G, and a TENAA list suggests it would come with a 6.89-inch AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 865 SOC and 8 GB of RAM. Internal storage can be offered in two choices: 128 GB and 256 GB. The triple rear camera configuration is listed to include a 64-megapixel main camera and two 13-megapixel cameras. At the front there is a 16 megapixel shooter. All of these specifications are identical to the Vivo Nex 3 5G model, indicating that the only difference between the two phones may be the processor.
The TENAA list also indicates a new offering of golden colors, and the cool teaser poster also has an orange-y outline on the back, hinting at a new color option.
