Fall Guys reveals Sonic the Hedgehog costumes and their prices in a bizarre stream featuring night-inviting Sonic cosplay and substandard gameplay.

Fall Guy’s Sonic the Hedgehog Skin was first released by Leak at the beginning of Season 2, but the official release of the costume is very strange and causes a bit of a nightmare. Sega and Mediatonic have worked together to unveil a sonic costume that will come to Fall Guys in a few days, but a simple JPEG wouldn’t have been more intrusive than the one released by the two developers.

When Fall Guys launched in August, well-known brands and other video game developers gathered on Twitter for crossover skins. Fall Guys was launched in two crossover skins ready for PC players to unlock, and everyone else was trying to take advantage of the immense popularity surrounding Fall Guys. At the start of Fall Guys Season 2, data miners were able to discover several crossover skins, including The Witcher’s Gerald, Cyberpunk 2077’s character, and the infamous Blue Hedgehog Sonic.

Today, Mediatonic has released the game’s Sonic the Hedgehog costume in a fairly interesting way, to say the least. Fall Guys Community Directors and Sega Community Managers today ran Partner Stream in a very sad Sonic outfit (carefully cataloged by the former on Fall Guys’ Twitter account). The video announced that Mediatonic and SEGA will race on Twitch to see who can win the most Crowns. Stream also announced that Sonic the Hedgehog will race to Fall Guys on October 14th. In addition, each contestant will wear an in-game sonic costume to show what players can look forward to in the coming days.

Costumes are not cheap for those who want to live their dreams as a jelly bean-shaped sonic. Unlike Fall Guys Community Director skins, which cost praise, Sonic skins cost players 10 crowns to complete a set. Its expensive price tag is not a shock as it matches the price of all other crossover skins so far.

Shocking is the effort both Sega and Mediatonic have made to promote this skin. So far, all crossover skins have been announced in still images or slightly more striking GIFs, but Sonic the Hedgehog was announced in a full-fledged live stream and nightmare fuel cosplay. The blue spandex suit and the coarsely cut out mouth / eye holes raise more questions than the answer, but the images from the video will definitely go down in the history of the meme. I hope Oliver Age24 will not decide to continue this tradition and cosplay at Bathtime Geralt when the skin is released in Fall Guys.
