It was a week of targeted blockades against movements in European countries. At 12:01 am on Sunday, France introduced a curfew in all major metropolitan areas for at least a month (9 pm to 6 am), while London was second from the first (middle) region. Moved to the stratum (high) area. No longer mix with other households.

Across the Atlantic, on Thursday, the United States added 65,000 new daily cases, the highest since July. As the New York Times reported, nine states set a daily case record, and 70,000 new cases were announced on Friday. Epidemiologists warn that half of the states in the United States are booming, unlike what they experienced in the early days of the pandemic. As reported by AP, the number of new cases per day is increasing in 44 states, with the largest surges in the Midwest and the Great Plains.

However, there are currently only travel restrictions in 18 states (listed below). In short, current US travel restrictions are inconsistent with the reality of a pandemic.

For example, North Dakota and South Dakota have added more cases than any other state since the outbreak of the pandemic, but neither state currently has state-wide travel restrictions. In the Great Plains, North Dakota, one source said the hospital beds were full and residents needed to know how dangerously close we were to the edge (October 12). There were only 39 open ICU beds on the day). The state does not yet have a state-wide masking obligation.

Montana currently has no state-wide travel restrictions, with an average of more than 500 cases daily. Prisons in Montana Cascade County have not been infected with the virus until recently, and currently 300 prisoners and staff are infected when Covid-19 is swarming in the county. Some of the seven Indian reservations have enacted restrictions. It’s very important given that Native Americans are disproportionately affected (they have 5.3 times higher hospitalization rates and 1.4 times higher mortality rates).

The Covid Act Now warning system (including Georgetown, Harvard, and Stanford University among its partners) has many states with no travel restrictions listed at the highest level (red) as active or imminent outbreaks. North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana are currently the top three new daily cases.

It is provided. These lists are updated primarily weekly, with more states added during the last week (to accommodate the current surge).
