Top stories of the week: iPhone 12, HomePod mini, etc.

This week, Apple officially announced the new iPhone 12 lineup, along with the new MagSafe charging accessories and HomePod mini. As part of this week’s top story, read a summary of all the details Apple revealed during the October event.

HomePod mini

Apple started things this week with the official announcement of the HomePod mini. As rumors predicted, this is a smaller version of the 3.3-inch High HomePod, about half the size of a full-sized HomePod.

The HomePod mini includes most HomePods features, but includes a small spherical design at the top that maintains the same touch-sensitive controls.

In terms of audio quality, Apple says the HomePod mini has a full-range driver with dual passive radiators. According to Apple, this hardware should enable deep bass and crisp high frequencies in an immersive 360-degree audio experience.

Apple has also enabled some new software features on the HomePod and HomePod mini. The new intercom feature provides a quick and easy way for families to connect with each other at home. Intercom also works with iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and CarPlay.

You can now set your HomePod as a permanent speaker output for your Apple TV. If you enable this setting, your HomePod will be set as the default speaker for your Apple TV. It’s unclear at this time if this feature is available on the HomePod mini or if it’s limited to full-size HomePods.

Except for the difference in sound quality, the only other feature limited to the HomePod is spatial awareness. In fact, the HomePod mini also includes a U1 ultra-wideband chip to improve handoff capabilities, but the full-size HomePod doesn’t.

The HomePod mini will be available for order on November 6th and will be available from the week of November 16th. It’s priced at $ 99, much more affordable than the $ 299 HomePod that remains in Apple’s lineup without price cuts.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini

With the HomePod mini out of the way, attention has moved to the iPhone lineup, especially the fact that the iPhone 12 is the first iPhone to support 5G connectivity throughout the lineup. Millimeter wave 5G is supported only in the United States, and sub 6GHz 5G is supported not only in the United States but also in other countries.

The first iPhone 12 model officially announced by Apple was the 6.1-inch iPhone 12. As rumors suggest, the iPhone 12 has a flat-edged design similar to the iPhone 4, iPhone 5, and the latest iPad Pro hardware.

iPhone 12 features a new A14 Bionic processor that uses a new 5 nanometer process to reduce transistor size. According to Apple, the new 6-core CPU is up to 50% faster than any other smartphone. iPhone 12 also includes a new 4-core GPU that’s up to 50% faster than its competitors.

Compared to the iPhone 11, the iPhone 12 is 11% thinner and 15% smaller. Apple has fully adopted an OLED display, improving contrast and brightness over last year’s LCD display iPhone 11 model. The display itself is a Super Retina XDR panel with a ceramic shield cover that is more durable and quadruples drop performance. iPhone 12 has a 2532 x 1770 pixel resolution display with 460 pixels per inch.

In addition to a dual camera setup with wide and ultra wide lenses, iPhone 12 features smart HDR with higher performance and an improved night mode that supports selfie cameras and ultra wide for the first time. The iPhone 12 also has a new night mode time-lapse feature.

Next, Apple announced the iPhone 12 mini. This is a smaller version of the iPhone 12 with a 5.4 inch OLED display. The iPhone 12 mini packs all the same features as the iPhone 12 in a smaller form factor. In fact, Apple advertised that the iPhone 12 mini has a much larger screen than the 4.7-inch iPhone SE, but it’s actually physically smaller due to its end-to-end design.

The iPhone 12 mini display has a resolution of 2340 x 1080, which is equivalent to 476 pixels per inch.

Both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are available in five colors: blue, green, black, white and (PRODUCT) RED. If you purchase the AT & T or Verizon version, the price starts at $ 699 for the iPhone 12 mini and $ 799 for the iPhone 12.

Basically, Apple has secured special deals with Sprint, T-Mobile, AT & T, and Verizon, offering the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 for $ 699 / $ 799. If you buy another carrier or the unlocked version, you’ll pay $ 729 for the iPhone 12 mini and $ 829 for the iPhone 12. This is a $ 30 increase based on your career.

The basic storage configuration is 64GB and can be upgraded to 128GB or 256GB.

iPhone 12 Pro

Next, Apple moved to iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The size of the iPhone 12 Pro is 6.1 inches, but the screen of the iPhone 12 Pro Max is 6.7 inches.

According to Apple, the form factor of larger iPhone 12 Pro devices is about the same as the smaller iPhone 11 Pro models that will be replaced, even with larger screen sizes. The iPhone 12 Pro frame is made of durable and glossy stainless steel material and has four different finishes.

As has become commonplace in the last few years, the camera hardware is the difference between the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12. The iPhone12Pro features a triple-lens camera setup with a telephoto lens and ultra-wide-angle lens on the back. And wide lens.

According to Apple, the new wide-angle camera has the fastest aperture ever on the iPhone, improving photo and video low-light performance by 27%. The ultra-wide has a 120-degree field of view, and Apple says it’s even better suited for vast landscape photography.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max features an even larger wide-camera sensor that improves photography in the dark by 87%. According to Apple, the combination of an ultra-wide lens system and a telephoto lens system provides a 5x optical zoom range. You’ll also get all the same software improvements as iPhone 12, including Dolby Vision video recording, 10-bit HDR video recording, improved smart HDR and night mode.

Finally, the back of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max also features a brand new LiDAR scanner. LiDAR scanners enable object and room scanning, AR functionality and more. LiDAR scanners also contribute to low light autofocus and improved capture time.

iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are available in four colors: graphite, silver, gold and Pacific Blue. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are currently available for pre-order and will be available starting Friday, October 23rd. The iPhone 12ProMax can be pre-ordered from Friday, November 6th and will be available with the iPhone 12 mini from November 13th.

Last but not least, Apple has revived the iconic MagSafe brand of a new line of magnetic accessories for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. All four iPhone 12 models have a magnetic ring on the back, so you can use these new MagSafe accessories.

Apple has announced its own lineup of MagSafe accessories for the iPhone 12, including a MagSafe charger that can power your iPhone up to 15W. There is also a MagSafe Duo charger with a built-in Apple Watch charger that allows you to charge your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time.

Apple is also offering a new lineup of silicone and clear cases for the iPhone 12 with MagSafe technology. Finally, there’s also a new leather wallet that magnetically attaches to the back of the iPhone 12.

Finally, Apple states that third-party accessory makers can also leverage the MagSafe ecosystem to create their own accessories that use iPhone 12s magnets.

The MagSafe brand revival of Apple’s wireless charging lineup will take place after Apple cancels the AirPower project in 2019 due to concerns related to reliability and overheating. Apple now seems to have changed its strategy and returned to the magnet-based approach it has long used in the MacBook lineup of MagSafe chargers.

A MagSafe charger, a leather wallet with MagSafe, an iPhone 12 Pro silicone case and a clear case are currently available for order. The iPhone12Pro leather case will be available starting Friday, November 6th. The MagSafe Duo charger and leather sleeve will be available at a later date.

One important advantage is the speed at which information is sent and received. With the help of the internet, the shopping habits of many persons have drastically changed. The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
