Target reveals free bonuses for Nintendo Switch games

Target has announced a pair of promotional items for those who purchase certain Nintendo Switch games from retailers in the coming days. The first of these items is for one of Nintendo’s biggest games of the year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. According to a new tweet from a retailer, those who purchase the game over-the-counter on November 1st will receive a free “premium journal” with a 2021 calendar. The journal has a lovely image of Tom Nuuk wearing an autumn sweater that you’ve seen in the game lately. The image of the journal can be found in the tweet below.

In addition to the journals that come with Animal Crossing New Horizons, Switch owners can also get prizes related to Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Buyers who pick up the game at participating target locations will receive a Tech Badge featuring red, yellow, and blue Pikmin characters, but will remain in stock. These items are basically high quality decals for mobile phones and laptops and have been offered in the past as a pre-order incentive for previous Nintendo games. Pikmin 3 Deluxe will be available on October 30th. This product is also sold only at stores.

Both games should be pretty big for Nintendo this holiday season, especially Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Over the past few weeks, players have enjoyed the fall update of the game with Halloween-related items and events. Another update will arrive in the game sometime in November, adding content related to Thanksgiving and Christmas.
