QUIC! IETF sets November deadline for last comment on TCP killer generated by Google and Cloudflare The Register
The Internet Engineering Task Force has set November 16, 2020 as the last day of comments on Quick UDP Internet Connections. This could be a TCP killer provided by Google and Cloudflare as part of HTTP / 3.
QUIC proponents point out that TCP imposes long round-trip times on traffic because it is talkative. This is never welcomed, but it is especially undesirable in wireless networks.
QUIC is a few bottlenecks that can occur when a TCP connection loses a packet by using the flavor of TLS (Transport Layer Security) over the UDP protocol of the Internet instead of regular TCP. Can be resolved. Therefore, QUIC allows clients and servers that have never connected to send data without a round trip between devices.
The result is faster loading of web pages that explain why Google supported QUIC, and more elegant internetworking that explains why Cloudflare liked QUIC.
Speaking of Cloudflare, one of the engineers, Lucas Pardue, who is also the co-chair of the QUIC Working Group, pointed out last week that the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) posted a notice that QUIC was in the final calling phase. ..

As the IETF explains here, the Last Call status represents the final stage of an open community review.
Or, as Pardue states, at the end of the last call period, stakeholders should take inventory, address feedback as needed, cross their fingers, and publish the document as an RFC during the standardization process. Proceed to the next step you request.
Pardue writes that even though the last call refers to draft 32 of the QUIC spec, it was chosen for use by version 29 and in fact already exists in most major browsers. So the situation gets a little strange.
But that’s not the end of the problem. Assuming QUIC survived the last call, it becomes an IETF RFC for further discussion and review.
Also, as Pardue explains, QUIC and HTTP / 3 are extensible, so there’s still a lot to do.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price.
