Kaspersky Innovation Hub announces global call for tech startups – Back End News

Kaspersky Innovation Hub (IHub) continues the activities of its open innovation program, designed to foster collaboration with innovative technology startups, by announcing the second round of its call for applications. All teams of startups and individual projects, developing solutions at the cutting edge of cybersecurity are welcome.

The best technological initiatives will be invited to participate in pilot projects, where startups and Kaspersky will work jointly on product development, with the possibility of global promotion. These startups will also receive technical and commercial mentorship, and those who successfully complete the pilot will have access to Kaspersky's distribution partners (including distributors and resellers), customers and prospects.

Kaspersky IHub opens a global startup call for the second time. In the first round in 2019, Kaspersky received 258 applications from 49 countries around the world. Four of the 12 final startups, who presented their ideas to an expert jury during a demonstration day in Milan, became winners in the fields of industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) , transportation, blockchain and anti-fraud technology.

The winners had the opportunity to collaborate on joint business cases with Kaspersky and launch their products with the support of a globally recognized cybersecurity brand. Newly developed products are also included in the company's portfolio, leading a synergistic approach to the development of innovative solutions.

This year, applicants are invited to participate in open challenges, organized by the Kaspersky Innovation Hub and F6S, a leading global platform for business innovation. As part of Kasperskys desire to constantly improve services and meet customer needs, challenges have been designed for teams working on advanced projects in the areas of lifelong protection ( family protection, home security, privacy) and games.

Applications are now open for startups that already have a legal entity, a product or a prototype, and several closed or pilot offers in progress. The technical and commercial validation, as well as the investment opportunity of the startups will be evaluated by the Kaspersky team with the help of the product F6S Corporate Innovation Analyst Insights and according to the capacity of their products or technologies to solve concrete cases of use of cybersecurity. During the selection process, the experts will also pay attention to the willingness and the interest of collaborating with Kaspersky IHub to improve the global cybersecurity landscape.
