You can now equip a Tamagotchi in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Activisions players Call of Duty: Modern Warfare perhaps get the most tonal cosmetic option in the history of shooter games with the introduction of the Tomogunchi, a parody of the iconic Japanese digital pet watch launched in 1996.
Similar to Bandais' original Tamagotchi, these in-game wristwatches feature a virtual pet hatching from an egg. The screenshots show a cat, a panda, and what looks like a dragon. You must then take care of the creature, otherwise it could end up perishing due to neglect. You can feed it, keep an eye on its emotional state and even help it grow and eventually evolve.
The dark comedy here is that all of this must be done not on a physical product, but on a virtual version of a physical product accessible only between the shots of your different virtual brothers in the face during a switchboard Call of Duty meet.
