DRDO and the Indian Army have jointly developed India’s first indigenous machine, the pistol ASMI. It was exhibited at the Indian Army Innovation Exhibition Event. Indian Army officers have independently developed a “microcopter” that the Army can use to monitor the interior of buildings and rooms where terrorists are hiding. The Indian Army has also signed a contract to obtain a switch drone for border surveillance. The vertical takeoff and landing drone can fly for 2 hours at a maximum altitude of 4,500 meters. Indian Army Major Anoop Mishra has also independently developed the world’s first universal bulletproof jacket, the Shakti, which can be used by both male and female combatants. The jacket is also the world’s first flexible body armor. Watch the entire video for more information.
