27-inch monitor deals: 6 QHD displays for less than $ 260

Sure, it’s better when it comes to monitors, but if you’re not a PC gamer or creative pro, how much viewing space do you really need? Recently, my dining room was transformed into my wife’s home office, so I bought a 27-inch QHD display. She had dual monitors set up at work and needed monitors when she was working from home. And I’m going to rent it the day she enters the office. That’s because my ancient 24-inch FHD monitor now looks tiny when compared.

We arrived at the 27-inch QHD display because it provided ample screen area and crisp images at an affordable price. I was surprised that the QHD (that is, quad HD or 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution) display is not much more expensive than the 27-inch model with the same 1,920 FHD resolution (“Full HD”). X1,080 pixels for pre 4K TVs. Also, the QHD pixel density of the 27-inch panel is high enough that you can’t see individual pixels when sitting in front of the display. So far, there is no FOMO about not spending any more on 4K displays (at least 3,840×2,160 pixels).

You don’t need a fast refresh rate display as it will scratch your game on Xbox One. 60Hz or 75Hz is sufficient. You don’t need a professional monitor with a wide color gamut or HDR, as you don’t edit photos except occasionally crop and modify the MacOS Photos app. We needed a brighter, clearer image and a larger display than today’s displays with the latest video connections, including both HDMI and DisplayPort. In addition, I wanted to look good with a dual monitor setup with thin bezels lining the display in case I eventually expand my dining room business.

For more information, check out the CNET Monitor Buying Guide and see my recommendations for a 27-inch QHD monitor that fits most budgets. I’ve found a lot on Amazon’s LG Display, but it’s still available at the same sale price (but you’ll have to wait until next month before it ships). Currently, Amazon has no other transaction comparable to the LG I purchased. Currently, Best Buy has lost trading on 27-inch QHD monitors. However, HP models, two versions of Dell’s display, and three Lenovo monitors are on sale and are worth a look.

LG

This is the model I ended up buying on Amazon for $ 227 after shopping. The discount has disappeared from Amazon, but B & H has it at the same selling price I got it. This is an IPS panel with QHD resolution, a rated 350 knit brightness, and a thin screen bezel. I want to support the height, but I like the simple stand. But most monitors at this price don’t offer such an adjustment, so I can live without it. It doesn’t have a built-in speaker, but it’s generally terrible and not for use when you have a Bluetooth speaker in your home office. Or laptop audio, if my wife works in the dining room. With one DisplayPort and two HDMI ports, you have the flexibility to connect to a variety of PCs and laptops. I am not dissatisfied with the image that is bright and clear enough.

Dell

Save $ 90 with this 27-inch QHD display from Dell. Follow the same recipe as LG above. IPS panel with both HDMI and DisplayPort connections, thin bezel, 350 nit brightness.

Dell

Add speakers using the Dell display above.

HP

This HP model is available for sale, boasts a modern look with a thin bezel, and has both DisplayPort and HDMI connections.

Lenovo

This 27-inch IPS panel from Lenovo has infiltrated the $ 200 mark. It has one DisplayPort, one HDMI port, and thin bezels on three sides.

Lenovo

This model is the most trimmed of the bundle with a razor-thin bezel on all four sides of the display. In addition to the standard DisplayPort and HDMI input ports, it also has a DisplayPort output port, allowing you to daisy-chain multiple monitors.
