Google confuses higher education

Business report publisher Rolfe McCollister joked that the university was in trouble if Google began issuing diplomas. But with the latest announcement from Google’s parent company Alphabets, it’s actually happening.

The March 11 report from Inc. includes an interview with Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. In this interview, Google details plans to launch a series of certification programs aimed at bridging skill gaps and helping to find employment in high-growth areas without a college degree. ..

As McCollister wrote in his new opinion piece, the article further states that most registrants will complete within six months and will pay less than $ 300 for certification. When tuition fees continue to rise and college debt is at its highest ever, it’s a fierce competition for college, McCollister writes.

Colleges and universities can offer a different experience than Google, but they need to provide consumers with demonstrable value for the time and money they invest. Ultimately, market students, parents and employers determine the winner.

Also in his column, McCollister writes about what he sees as a flawed rhetoric surrounding the national voter registration debate.

All American citizens should have voting rights, but there are requirements. Only if the prospective gun owner meets various government requirements, such as registration and background checks, will he have a constitutionally guaranteed weapon ownership.

In addition, McCollister commends four new charter schools, BASIS Mid City, IDEA University Prep, Helix Aviation Academy and Helix Legal Academy, which will open in EBR this fall. This was recently reported by The Advocate. He writes that these are more public choices for parents and students and good for the city.

Finally, McCollister mentions the newly restored Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative sculpture announced on April 6, congratulating and thanking everyone involved in the project.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
