Mark Cerny will probably never be seen again until PS6 (Photo: Sony)
As one reader praises Microsoft Rewards, Friday Inbox asks who will ultimately pay for the Xbox Game Pass if the Xbox Game Pass becomes dominant.

PlayStationIve’s face has considered all the complaints and concerns raised about Sony, but I have to say that many of them are justified. It may seem a bit too fast to overlook the fact that the PlayStation 5 is the best-selling console ever, but you know it’s a big deal.
I echo what readers have recently said about poor communication in this generation. I think this is certainly a legitimate complaint. Sony no longer actually talks to its fans, except for their blogs and the occasional State of Play without a human presenter.
From Jay Allard and Peter Moore to Reginald Fiss Aim and Shigeru Miyamoto, Sony has always lacked the great personality that Microsoft and Nintendo have enjoyed. People know them and whether you like them is the face of their company. At least Nintendo’s new Bowser guy knows how to make a joke about his name, and Phil Spencer always comes across strangely complacent, but he knows his game and the money He seems happy to say that he will stop with him.
Nobody but with Sony. There’s an American guy out there who always sounds half-drunk at E3, but he’s gone, and so is Adam Boyes. Shuhei Yoshida (I had to look up these names) looked like a cool guy, but he seems to have been demoted or moved sideways and you won’t see him anymore.
There’s Mark Cerny, but he seems to have been moved only during the console’s launch, and now he’s back in his cave.
The only permanent face on the PlayStation is Jim Ryan. Jim Ryan can face it, but he doesn’t speak much in public. This is probably half the reason Sony rarely speaks in public. But still, Phil Spencer is always replying to people on Twitter, and he seems to come across random podcasts and more. Does Sony really have to take a faceless company literally?
Fair Comments In response to yesterday’s letter from Domino, the reason for the criticism is the huge amount of letters and reader features that seem to claim that Sony needs to have a Game Pass equivalent. Yes, otherwise PlayStation 5 will fail. I don’t think either answer was funboy. It offers a true counterpoint to the praise of Microsoft and Game Pass.
Yes, some game passes are cost-effective, but it’s still too early to know in the end how many gamers to convert and which console will be the most successful. Currently, the new PlayStation 5 inventory is still sold out in seconds, so there is clearly a lot of demand for Sony’s latest consoles. As I said before, my decision always depends on having the most exclusive console I want to play, and based on previous generations Microsoft has a lot to catch up with do.drlowdon There is
Welcome Rewards I know everyone praises the value of Game Pass money. But for me, the real star of the show is Microsoft Rewards, which provides points for taking action in a particular game.
This has had a huge impact on my motivation to try new games, and I’ve noticed that I’m now playing far more indie games than AAA titles. Also, since points can be converted into vouchers, we were able to use about 70 in-store credits last year. This was good because it really reduced the buyer’s remorse for getting the Cyberpunk 2077. In response to Tottispurs for the first time for me, Ive has had an Xbox Series X since its launch and I can confidently say that Im loves it. This year alone, I played and completed 11 games, including next-generation releases such as Call Of The Sea, Unto The End, The Medium, Control Ultimate Edition, and Gear Tactics, and loved them all. Im is currently playing Dishonored 2. I couldn’t join because I felt I couldn’t control it on the original Xbox One, but with the Xbox Series X, it’s a revolutionary experience that loads almost instantly.
I think my point is that if you have a low budget and indie music, there are many games around you. I’m not currently worried about new releases. I still have about 30 game backlogs and take the opportunity to clear them as much as possible. Roll on The Falconeer, Wasteland 3, and ReCorenext Parsonas
GC: It’s probably best not to restart this merry-go-round. Neither side seems to understand the other perspective when it comes to complaints about the lack of a new game.
Thick and thin GC, if fans are loyal to the company console, they have to agree that it will be Nintendo.
I had all the home video game consoles Nintendo made. And all handheld consoles except Virtual Boy. I had a PlayStation while I was waiting for the N64, and I owned a PlayStation 3 for 6 months, but I always go back to my beloved Nintendo games.zookeeper (NN ID)
Game Pass Payments I’m interested in reading the enthusiasm that everyone seems to have for Microsoft and the focus on the future of digital streaming.
It’s the game Netflix, and some say it has a lot of game choices.
The outlook is interesting, but one thing I’d like to know is how a large budget game studio can recover development costs if, for example, the product needs to be made available via the Game Pass. Is it to do?
As you know, well-known musicians are very clear about the monetary payments they make for music available on streaming services such as Spotify.
Or is it like an existing video streaming service such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney that can play games released six months to a year ago?
Or will it be like a new model adopted by a major movie studio, with new movie releases available at a premium price, but not part of the options available to the three major streaming giants?
I want a digital-only future where I can jump into my favorite games right away, but how do developers make money?
I think Google saw this issue and I think it led to their pricing and design, but it didn’t go down particularly well among fans, and I think it eventually led to Google diminishing their ambitions.
Perhaps Microsoft will launch acquisitions of studios around the world to make all top new games available on the Game Pass, but that would be a huge financial investment.
Who knows which studio will be the next target for Microsoft’s acquisition team, as they probably already started with Bethesda?
GC: Who are they, but they are definitely planning more purchases.
Pit I’m bored and have seen pit fighter reviews since the early 90’s. Sure, the Megadrive version looks better than the terrible SNES port, but how did you get a review score of 90% or higher? !!
I think there were a lot of games on the Mega Drive that were far better than this at the time.John Atkinson
A decent year I just wanted to sing the praise of Monster Hunter Rise on Switch, I was really impressed with it, and this must be the best Switch monopoly since Super Mario Odyssey? It was my first Monster Hunter game, initially worried about clunky fighting (compared to Soul and Bayonetta games), but once I got used to the rhythm, different play and moods did it. Enough consistency and safety.
It looks amazing and the performance is solid. There is also a lot of content. This seems to be the most accessible (?), But in about 10 hours I have no idea what half of the system will do. What was the PSP and 3DS game like? !! I wish there was real hunting, but so far, once you hit the area with a beam, you just go to the monster’s location on the map and chase it.
Sure, you can explore to make secrets, but you can’t hunt malicious beasts using sound or environmental clues. Are you worried that the gameplay loop will repeat itself? However, it may open later in the game.
Capcom has done tremendous results with the RE engine on Switch and is ashamed of Nintendo’s first-party output. Did I wonder if those Resident Evil Revelations 3 rumors might be true? Once you have laid the foundation, you may want to use it. I’m really interested in that Monster Hunter Stories spinning off this summer.
In fact, it’s been a strong year for Switch so far, and by the end of summer, No More Heroes 3 will look great. Japanese publishers such as Square Enix and Atlas have announced big names this year, and even EA and Activision are now entering third parties, porting recent titles.
I’ve noticed a lot of chatter in my inbox about the lack of big games in these COVID pressured times. That’s also true for Triple A titles, but too few were too bloated before COVID, but still too many. A good game released to give you time to play.
Monster Hunter Im juggling Super Mario 3D World, Genesis Noir, Cyber Shadow, Little Nightmares 2, and Gnocia with just 21 people, and last year’s backlog.
GC: So far, it’s been surprisingly good in terms of quality, not quantity. As for Monster Hunter, previous games had more hunting elements, but they were also very difficult to get into. Believe it or not, Rise is the most accessible place ever.
Inbox also-rans For those who are interested in this month’s Edge Magazine cover game for the just delayed Deathloop, it has 16 pages of features. You can buy it digitally on Android, iOS, Amazon, or get one physical copy from here. Andrew J.
Why do you feel like Microsoft will buy Kojima Productions next?I think Sony will regret having tied it up
This Week’s Hot Topic This weekend’s Inbox theme was suggested by reader Pauly. What is Pauly your favorite first-person shooter or third-person shooter?
FPS games were the dominant genre until recently, but they have begun to become less popular, especially with the rise of third-person shooter-equivalent games. Games like Call of Duty and Battlefield are still very popular, but what are your favorites and why?
Which do you like better, first-person or third-person? Also, do you mainly play games with single player content or multiplayer? Which game are you most looking forward to in the future? And how do you see the future of this genre?

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
