How the Covid-19 pandemic threatens wildlife in Africa – BBC News
A wildlife catastrophe is spreading in Africa, park rangers and conservation experts have reported.
They say the closure of safari tourism, due to the pandemic coronavirus, is shrinking the industry, leading to an increase in rape.
The African tourism industry is worth nearly $ 30 trillion a year and employs nearly four million people.
Earth experts and guard officials say rape is on the rise as thousands of unemployed people dependent on the industry go to eat wild animals.
They also fear a more organized rape against endangered species.
