“It was just before 11am, I literally woke my partner, then the house was still shaking after he woke up. He thought there was an explosion,” Michelle Pearl, who lives in Vaucluse Place, Pennewick, told Evening News.

“It lasted about five or six seconds, maybe longer, but as far as I know no one was hurt and nothing was damaged.

“It got all the residents outside talking, it was like being in a building where trains go through and shake a little, but there are no train lines close enough to us for that, it’s very confusing.”
