Haiti raises death toll from powerful weekend earthquake to 2,189

LIS CAES, Haiti (AP) – Pressure for a coordinated response to the deadly earthquake in Haiti this weekend mounts, as more bodies have been pulled from the rubble and the wounded continue to arrive from remote areas in search of medical care. Tensions rose on Wednesday over the slowdown in aid efforts.
