Metal County, Nevada – As of 7:30 am May 15, US95 from US6, Coaldale Junction, in Esmeralda County, to US95 and Nevada 360 Junction in Mineral County were closed due to the aftermath of a 6.4-magnitude earthquake earlier this morning.

The Esmeralda County Sheriff’s Office, the Nevada Highway Highway Patrol and the Nevada Department of Transportation are currently operating in a traffic accident on US95 mile 89 inside the Esmeralda County north to Mineral County Line.

Several areas of the highway were affected by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake this morning.
