Narcoleptic Lucy Tonge shared a moment when she had a cataplexic section, a condition associated with narcolepsy. NHS Options defines cataplexy as a sudden muscle weakness or loss of muscle control. Typical symptoms include falling head jaw, falling head, falling legs out of control, blurred speech, difficulty paying attention, or finding double vision. Attacks on cataplexy are triggered by an emotion such as excitement, laughter, anger, or surprise. Attacks can last for seconds and minutes.
