An earthquake with an initial magnitude of 3.6 struck Maywood in Los Angeles County just after 7 a.m. The epicenter was located between East Los Angeles and Huntington Park. There is likely to be a feeling of shaking as far north as Palmdale and as far east as Hamit.

No damage has been reported.

The USGS did not issue an early warning because the earthquake was below the notification threshold.
