The robot works inside the eye – BBC News

Oxford surgeons have used a robot to operate inside the eye – first in a world. A team at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford controlled the device with a controller to remove the membrane, which is one hundred millimeters thick. Sick Bill Beaver, 70, said he was a “fairy.” Surgeons hope that the procedure will pave the way for more complex eye surgery that is possible at the hands of today’s man.
The BBC had exclusive access to the procedure.
