Magnitude 3.6 earthquake strikes Chikabalapura, third in two days

New Delhi: An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Shikabalapura district of Karnataka state on Thursday, according to the National Center for Seismology. The earthquake falls under a slight intensity according to the National Center of Seismology.

Earlier on Wednesday, two earthquakes of magnitude 2.9 and 3.0 were recorded in the area. The epicenter of the quake was reported to be about 60 km from the state capital, Bengaluru. Normal life was not affected on Wednesday, Hindustan Times reports.
