“I would feel for anyone in the upstairs unit, if I was upstairs, I would feel so much more.”

“It was a very long and strong earthquake as well, but for some reason, not many people in our building had escaped to the lobby. Maybe the stairs are too lazy,” one person said on Twitter.

Australian Olympic hockey champion Nova Pires said she felt the earthquake.
