Severe damage was recorded in the town of Massena (St. Lawrence County), with a number of chimneys, windows, residential foundations and a high school gymnasium reported destroyed.

Who remembers on August 23, 2011, when you felt a 5.9 earthquake centered in Mineral, Virginia up and down the entire East Coast, including New York? On October 19, 1985, an earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale struck the town of Ardsley in Westchester County.
