More U.S. police officers have reported George Floyd’s death as protests progress – BBC News

All four police officers who were arrested when George Floyd was arrested in the US city of Minneapolis are now linked to the death.

Derek Chauvin, an officer on his knees, has been charged with second-degree murder. Three other police officers present were accused of aiding and abetting the murder.

The death of George Floyd has sparked huge protests in cities across America. U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has dismissed Trump’s suggestion that the military could be used to end protests.

Thousands of people have taken to the streets in London to protest the death at an event organized by the Black Lives Matter campaign team.
