Australian protests highlight indigenous deaths – BBC News
Dozens of people have protested across Australia in support of the Black Lives Matter movement after the death of George Floyd.
However, Australian protesters are also highlighting the deaths of Indigenous people in custody and the abuse and exclusion of Australian Aboriginal people.
Some of the last aboriginal people in prison have sparked protests, including David Dungay, who was arrested in five cells in a Sydney cell that died in 2015, despite repeatedly shouting “I can’t breathe”.
