A 5.1-magnitude earthquake rocked Chengwen County in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, China, Wednesday morning, according to the China Seismological Network Center (CENC).

The quake occurred at 7:50 am (Beijing time), the Xinhua News Agency reported.

The quake’s epicenter was monitored at 28.22 degrees north latitude and 105.03 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 10 km, the Xinhua News Agency said.

There were no reports of injuries so far.

Earlier on March 26, a 6.0-magnitude earthquake hit China’s Qinghai Province.

The earthquake hit Delingha town in the province at 00:21 today. The epicenter was monitored at 38.50 degrees north latitude and 97.33 degrees east longitude, 126 km from the city, and at a depth of 10 km, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

According to Xinhua, the epicenter of the earthquake occurred in an uninhabited area at an altitude of 4,410 meters.

There were no villages within 20 km of the epicenter, according to Dilinga’s emergency management office.

The quake was felt by residents of Dilinga and the cities of Jiuquan, Jiayuguan and Zhangye, the bureau said.

Several trains operating in the quake-affected area are expected to be delayed, the news agency said, according to China’s Xining Railway Qinghai-Tibet Group Co., Ltd.
