Small earthquake strikes below the University of Berkeley campus

A small magnitude 2.7 earthquake struck Berkeley, California, on Tuesday morning, and its epicenter is below the edge of the University of Berkeley campus.

A map from the U.S. Geological Survey shows that the earthquake hit eastern California Memorial Stadium.

The earthquake struck 6:32 am along the Hayward Line at a depth of six miles, according to the US Geological Survey.

The residents of the area reported that they felt the slightest shaking.
