Twitter will become a privately owned company. It’s a 38% premium to Twitter’s April 1 stock closing price, which is great for shareholders.

So, that’s great financially, but the earthquake is really political. The idea that conservatives won’t be banished from Twitter, which is of course very influential with 250 million subscribers, is pretty cool.

Elon Musk said earlier today, “Freedom of speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital city arena where matters vital to the future of humanity are discussed… I also want to make Twitter better than ever by improving the product with new features, enabling It makes open source algorithms to increase trust, defeat spam bots, and authenticate all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the user community to unlock it.”

Fabulous Elon! Just awesome! So, besides democracy’s promotion of free speech, we may also learn what was inside the ridiculous shaded shenanigans that kept free speech out of Twitter.

You people have heard me laud Elon Musk over and over again on the common sense freedom agenda of a libertarian limited government. This move to buy Twitter has become his crown jewel – not to downgrade Tesla’s electric cars, or SpaceX, which in themselves are huge accomplishments, but as I said earlier, this move to acquire Twitter is a political earthquake.

It is one of the rare, and perhaps the only, victories of freedom of expression in the fraudulent world of social media. My only regret is that he didn’t buy Facebook. But who knows? Perhaps Peter Thiel or someone like him who believes in free speech and conservative principles will go after Facebook, Google, or other pseudo-left media.

Just 7 months before the midterms, when the cavalry comes with a red wave, I don’t know what the left will do. I can hear them now grinding their teeth.

Get ready for Elon’s hit clips from the usual suspects like the New York Times. The NAACP completely lost their minds in a press release attack on Elon Musk. The Washington Post opinion writers are in the process of being researched. Elon must wear these attacks as a badge of honor and a red badge of bravery.

Elon Musk said in a recent interview that he described himself as a “free speech absolute”. We should all be grateful for his contribution to opening up political discourse. This is also a huge blow against the whole wake-up movement.
