BUTUAN CITY – A 4.0-magnitude earthquake jolted western Davao province on Friday, June 12, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Vivolex).

A bulletin said in a bulletin that the tremor was recorded at 4:23 am.

Vivulks said that the epicenter of the earthquake was drawn some 149 kilometers southeast of Sarangani in Davao Davao Province, and the quake was 109 kilometers deep.

Earlier, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 12.21 am on the same day, and its center was traced 399 km southeast of the same city and province, at a depth of 292 km, Vivulks said.

The earthquakes were primarily tectonic, and the agency did not raise a aftershock or a tsunami warning.

The Regional Bureau of the Southern Mindanao Civil Defense Office and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Board of the Council have reported damage or injuries.
