What to watch

The hats remain without Caio Alexander, Leo Uso and Christian Gutierrez, which means that the starting lineup should resemble what they went with against Toronto. It looks like the move to a more traditional 4-2-2-2 defensive line has paid off and should give them some control over San Jose.

Update: Bad news on the fitness front: Ryan Gould and Tus Ricketts are unavailable for the Quakes match after entering health and safety protocol. Blow for the hats, needless to say. This could see Pedro Vite starting, especially after Ryan Raposo’s post midweek.

I’m always conservative in expecting the captain to win these days, but this house has been nice to Vancouver and I think their attacking players are in good enough shape to exploit the San Jose defense. Give me 2-1 Vancouver on Saturday night.
