Baldur’s Gate Battle has crazy dragon support

Commander Legends’ Magic sequel, called Battle for Baldur’s Gate, is modeled after the Dungeons & Dragons universe, so of course, the group will have a fair share of Dragons. There are many interesting cards and mechanics in the deck, but Dragons received some of the most important support.

All Elder Dragons of Baldur’s Gate cost a ton of mana, but they have insane abilities that fire when they deal combat damage to the player. Each ability can be a bit risky because its power stems from rolling a twenty-sided dice. But it also means that they have the potential to make significant gains.

Ancient Copper Dragon will make between 1-20 treasure tokens. The Black Elder Dragon revives creatures from any graveyard with a total value of mana equal to your death roll. And the ancient silver dragon does what blue does best: draw cards.

The Ancient Gold Dragon populates the battlefield with an army of Faerie Dragons miniatures according to your lists. The Ancient Bronze Dragon boosts two of your creatures with +1 / + 1 counters.

This is one of the most powerful dragons in the group which makes it a good leader or it is included in a dragon deck like The Ur Dragon.

Miirym is somewhat similar to Riku of Two Reflections or Volo, Handbook of Monsters, in that it makes copies of the Dragons that come into play. You don’t even have to throw the dragons out of your hand; If you revive it from your graveyard or blink it with a ghostly flash, Miirym will make a copy.

This is similar to Boros Reckoner but works with all of your dragons. Because of that, the Wrathful Red Dragon has a fun and eye-catching variety.

If you can spawn six dragons, one of which is an angry red dragon, and then play Star of Extinction, you can deal 40 damage to each of your opponents and win the game.

While this combo is cute, Wrathful Red Dragon will often be a dragon-themed deck player that will make your opponents reconsider how to block them or whether they are trying to kill your dragon with damage-based spells.
