LAFC starts fast before finishing 3-2 quakes

Brian Rodriguez scored the green goal in the 47th minute to lead the hosts Los Angeles to a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday.

LAFC (9-3-2, 29 points) took an early 2-0 lead after Christian Arango scored from the penalty spot in the seventh minute and defender Ryan Hollingshead scored six minutes later.

Ibobisi trimmed LAFC’s lead to 2-1 just three minutes into the LAFC turn, taking a pass from Jamiro Monteiro and scoring outside the 6-yard area with his left foot.

Ebobisse completed his double in the 31st minute with another shot with his left foot from a corner kick by Cristian Espinosa. The goals boosted Ebobisse’s total to nine teams on the season.
