A 2.5-magnitude earthquake was felt across the Salt Lake Valley

MAGNA, Utah – A 2.5-magnitude earthquake struck parts of the Salt Lake Valley Friday morning as another aftershock of the March 2020 5.7-magnitude earthquake, said University of Utah seismologists.

More than 370 residents were felt on Friday afternoon, with the epicenter less than a mile north of Magna.

Seismologists at U of U said they have recorded more than 2,700 aftershocks from the March 18, 2020, earthquake, including 41 earthquakes 3 and larger.

Anyone who felt aftershocks on Friday was asked to report it on the USGS website.
