Nihilego is not the strongest opponent, but being a super monster makes him a threat that you have to take seriously when preparing to challenge him.

The Parasite Pokémon is a Rock and Poison type, which makes it vulnerable to multiple attacks with easy access. Ground is probably Nihilego’s best overall counter overall, as it’s a potency quad against it, but Water, Psychic, and Steel are also viable typing options when planning an attack.

Hard-type Pokémon will actually be your best defense option against Nihilego, as Ultra Beast doesn’t have access to any movement that a good hard-type Pokémon wouldn’t resist. She doesn’t have quick Rock type moves, and her charged moves are all Rock or Poison type.

As of now, Nihilego can be faced in raids with a Raid Boss CP of 48,499.

For the Nihilego, you can usually pick it up between 2167 and 2256 CP, but it has a CP boosted from 2,709 CP to 2829 CP in certain situations.
