A 2.5-magnitude earthquake struck the Magna on June 3 at 5:02 a.m. According to a report from the University of Utah seismological stations, it was felt by more than 270 people in the Salt Lake Valley.

“We still had one or two earthquakes a week, which doesn’t seem like much, but it’s more than usual in that area,” Weeden said.

Most of the aftershocks were smaller, usually 1.5 or less in size. It is also normal for them to last for several years.

Weeden said that if people are concerned about earthquakes, there are some good ways to prepare. The best thing is to have 72 hours of food, water and medicine on hand.
