The move proved to be a good one, when Pacheco’s header hit the Quakes II goalkeeper one minute into added time, complicating matters 1-1 before time ran out.

Unfortunately for MNUFC2, Quakes II overturned the boys’ text just a minute later when San Jose midfielder Jerry Ion put the Loons’ guard past Fred Emmings, ending any possibility of any penalty shootout suspense as San Jose escaped with W.

The MNUFC2 crew will have a few weeks to rest and wash that bad taste from their mouths before returning to the field to face North Texas SC on June 26.
