California earthquake? Gavin Newsom Joins The Truth Social from Trump

California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom announced Thursday that he has joined Truth Social, the social media platform created by former President Donald Trump.

“I know we are all on this platform looking for the ‘truth,’ but the truth is that I couldn’t find a simple explanation for the fact that we have a red state murder issue,” Newsom said in a video added to his first Truth Social post.

“Eight of the top 10 states with the highest homicide rates are the red states. So the question is simple, what are the laws and policies in those states that lead to such carnage?” He is done.

It was the governor’s first post on the Truth Social in less than a day. It is already verified and has around 2,400 followers.

He only follows two accounts, Trump and Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes.

Former California Republican Representative Nunes has urged Truth Social users to welcome Newsom.

Truth Social announced that Newsom joined the platform via push notification.

On Twitter, Newsom said he plans to “call Republican lies” on the Truth Social. “This could be … interesting,” he added.

ABC 7 has reported that Newsom has clashed with Trump before, saying the former president was “faking” election fraud after Newsom won the California impeachment vote last year.
