The test for the new revolutionary vaccine against coronavirus will begin in London – BBC News
Hundreds of volunteers will take part in the testing of the new coronavirus vaccine in the coming weeks as part of a project led by scientists at Imperial College London. Researchers at Oxford University are already conducting a separate study of the other vaccine. The research includes more than a dozen vaccines being tested around the world. Everyone who is developing Imperial College uses a revolutionary new approach; so only a small dose is needed. If it works, the team says it should have enough vaccines to immunize 40 million people in the UK by mid-next year. Major health organizations, meanwhile, are urging ministers to conduct a review to see if the UK is properly prepared for another outbreak of coronavirus. The presidents of the Royal College of Physicians, Surgeons, Physicians and Nurses have expressed their concerns in a letter published in the British Medical Journal. In New York and the neighboring states of New Jersey and Connecticut, a 14-day quarantine period has been set for visitors from 9 other states with high rates of coronavirus infection. New cases of Covid-19 in the US have risen to their highest level.
