A seismological sub-center has been established in Chimbo

Madikeri: The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Center (KSNDMC) set up a temporary “Sub-Seismic Center” near the Government High School of Chimpo Village in Kodagu District on Thursday.

A quake of magnitude 2.3 was recorded at 9 a.m. on June 25, 3.0 at 7.45 a.m. on June 28, and 1.8 at 4.32 p.m. on the Richter scale, around Karik and Chimbo, at the Harangi Reservoir Permanent Seismological Center, Ramesh said.
