Forum on Generation Equality– The Global Conference on Gender Equality, convened by UN Women and hosted by the governments of Mexico and France in partnership with civil society, was announced today by the leaders of the Generation of Equality Action coalitions, to achieve gender equality and all women ‘s and girls’ human rights. The WHO, together with the United Nations for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), has been called upon to lead a joint coalition with an emphasis on ending gender-based violence.

Action coalitions will bring concrete and transformative changes for women and girls around the world over the next five years. They will focus on six topics which are critical to achieving gender equality. In addition to the Coalition on Gender-Based Violence, there are five other coalitions on economic justice and rights, physical autonomy and sexual and reproductive health and rights, feminist actions for climate justice, technology and innovation for gender equality, feminist movements and leadership. Girls and young women will be the focal point of any Action Coalition.

The 65 initial leaders of action coalitions represent member states, diverse feminist and women’s rights organizations, youth-led organizations, philanthropic actors, UN agencies and other international organizations (full list here). Leaders of Action Coalitions bring deep commitment and experience in promoting gender equality and women’s human rights and reflect the diverse experiences and identities of women and girls from around the world.

Further appointments of action coalition leaders will be made in the next few months, including private sector companies and youth-led organizations, to ensure intersectional and intergenerational leadership.

The leaders of the action coalitions elected the leaders A basic group of forums for generational equality, which includes France, Mexico, civil society and UN women.
Five criteria
followed by the selection of leaders, including evidence of the leaders ’commitment and past achievement score in relevant Action Coalition topics.

The action coalitions are one of the key results of the Forum for Generation Equality, which will begin in Mexico City, Mexico, and culminate in the first half of 2021 in Paris, France. The Forum for Generational Equality, accelerated by action coalitions, wants to mobilize urgent measures to make irreversible progress towards gender equality and the human rights of women and girls globally.

This announcement comes as the world reacts to the effects of COVID-19, which exacerbates gender and other inequalities and disproportionately affects women and girls in all countries. In this context of the pandemic, the Forum for Generation of Generations and the Coalition for Action are important and urgently needed to get through this pandemic, to recover faster and build a fairer, more inclusive and fairer future for all.

Next steps

The leaders of the Action Coalitions will gather in the coming months to come up with concrete plans that change the game, and what actions could be implemented in the next five years.

Beginning in September 2020, a series of virtual public talks will mobilize and attract the voices of women and youth to inform about action coalitions.

The action coalition’s drafts will then be refined at the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico City during the first part of 2021, and were officially launched at the Generation Equality Forum in Paris, later in 2021.

Action coalitions aim to launch broad support in addition to the governance structure. A wide range of stakeholders will be involved in forming Action Coalitions in the coming months and will be given opportunities to commit to transformative actions to promote gender equality and women’s rights.

Violence against women is a major threat to global health and human rights, crossing the boundaries of age, race, religion, ethnicity, disability, geography, culture and wealth. WHO is committed to working in a world where all women live their lives without violence and discrimination. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
