WHO and I-DAIR in partnership for inclusive, impactful and accountable international research on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital health
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Collaboration for Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence Research (I-DAIR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining their joint efforts to advance the use of digital technologies for personal and public health globally.
Through this agreement, WHO and I-DAIR will work together to harness the digital revolution to address pressing health challenges, while emphasizing equity and greater participation of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in R&D and governance in the digital health and AI space, with with a special focus on the involvement of young researchers and entrepreneurs.
The partnership will focus on achieving these common goals through a multi-pronged approach that focuses on promoting scientific cross-domain/cross-border collaboration and implementing innovative long-term solutions for digital health, in line with WHO recommendations and interoperability standards.
