A volcano in the Philippines has started lava lapping, authorities have warned that a "dangerous eruption" is possible "within hours or days."

In the early hours of Monday, a low flow of lava began to close from the Taal volcano, 70 miles south of the capital city of Manila.

It comes after a pile of ashes is dumped, causing a massive evacuation of about 8,000 people.

Taal is the second most active volcano in the Philippines.
