‘If you start speaking, there will be an earthquake’: Maharashtra CM Shinde’s Light Warning by Udhav Thackeray

In a subtle warning to Chief Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured on Saturday that there would be an “earthquake” if he started speaking. He also questioned the decision of the former board members to cooperate with the NCP and the Congress, and also hinted that he is aware of some hidden facts saying “I know what happened to the late Sina leader Anand Degi”.

Speaking at a rally in Malegaon, CM Shinde said he rebelled because he wanted to “protect the legacy of Balasaheb Thackeray”.

“There would be an earthquake if I started doing interviews…Unlike some people, I didn’t travel abroad every year for holidays. Shiv Sena and his growth were the only things on my mind,” he said.

“I was a witness to what happened with ‘Dharmavir,'” said Shinde, referring to Deji, the fiery Shiv Sena leader and mentor who died in the aftermath of a traffic accident in 2002.

Thackeray, who resigned as Prime Minister in June after Shinde rebelled against him along with the majority of the Shiv Sena MLAs, often called the rebels “traitors”. However, without naming Udhav, the Prime Minister referred to the same saying, “What do you call those who give up an ideology without a friend just to become Prime Minister?” Asked.

“You run in the elections in alliance with the BJP and then form a government with the Congress and the NCP to become the Prime Minister. Isn’t that treason?” Shinde asked as well.

The Maharashtra government led by Eknath Shinde, who came to power after a high-effort political drama, will complete one month in power on Saturday, but there is still no clarity on when the government will be expanded.

Shendi was sworn in as Prime Minister on 30 June, a day after Uddhav Thackeray was forced to step down after a mutiny by a majority of Shende’s Sina MPs.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has been sworn in as Deputy Prime Minister. The government was formed 10 days after Shinde raised the banner of rebellion against Shiv Sena’s leadership.

He claimed that the Sina faction he leads and the BJP will together get 200 out of 288 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.
